Gilmore Girls Secrets

I almost pissed my pants from the excitement of the episode in the 6 season where Logan and Jess meet. COME ON. Seriously. Logan is a jerk. Jess knows that, I know that… we ALL know that. Also, I don’t really care for Rory in the later seasons. 1-4 was a good Rory, after that she grew up and lost that special something. Oh well, Lorelei will always be the same.
OH! And did you know that Grant Lee Phillips (Stars Hallows Town Troubador) is the brother of Sam Phillips (the girl that does the vocals for all of the transition and menu music)? Yep. True story.
HOLYHELL I LOVE THIS SHOW SO MUCH.

Am I the only one who loves all the characters?

I’ve noticed a lot of hate on gilmoregirlsecrets lately. I feel like the only one who loves each character exactly the way they are, flaws and all.

it always seem awkward to me that they’re talking and joking so long even they are in a rush.. stop talking and go get dress or get in the car!!

It really annoys me that Lorelai was so jokey with Rory after she told her she needed to go to the psychologist weekly in 6.11 (The Perfect Dress). She could have been more understanding and/or sympathetic. Maybe the jokes were a way to suppress her guilt, but I think ignoring the possible issues Rory had about the boat incident and/or the separation period was a very unmotherly thing to do. I felt like Lorelai and Rory never really TALKED about their issues—they just made up and it was done.

I don’t much care for the last three and a half seasons. The creators seemed too concerned with having Lorelai and Rory included in more prestigious social circles and kept going back to tired story lines (Dean, Chris, etc). The whole thing felt wrong, like personalities didn’t just evolve but completely changed. Lorelai seemed to be seeking out drama or letting people take advantage of her and Rory wanted the attention of people her younger self would abhor. The later seasons make me sad because the earlier seasons were just so good. I usually pretend GG ended in its fourth season

I lost all interest in her. I cared more about Paris in Yale than Rory. Lorelai stole the show from that season on.

it’s completely stupid that the new writers came in in season 7 and made lorelai get married and made logan propose. both of those things seem to be totally out of character. lorelai took marriage so seriously and she had to be so sure and 100% she would never EVER get married without rory there and i know she was upset about her missing it but real lorelai wouldn’t have done that (fake lorelai being new writer’s lorelai). also logan would never propose he wasn’t ready for marriage and it seemed like just a way to get rory single for the end.

I feel like watching/being obsessed with Gilmore Girls makes me more cultural and able to reference what they’ve referenced. I also read many books because Rory has read them, and watch certain movies because they were referenced.
